Do you like swimming?
Absolutely! I find swimming incredibly invigorating (làm sảng khoái), as it helps me feel refreshed after a long, tiring day. Besides, it's a fantastic way to stay in shape and boost my mental well-being. For example, whenever I feel stressed, I go for a quick dip, and it works like a charm to lift my spirits. Swimming also allows me to unwind (thư giãn) and escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

What do you think are the benefits of learning to swim?
Learning to swim is undoubtedly (chắc chắn) an essential skill that can save lives. Additionally, it provides a full-body workout, improving cardiovascular health and building endurance. For instance, swimmers tend to have better lung capacity and overall fitness compared to those who don't exercise regularly. Moreover, it's a great way to forge friendships (tạo dựng tình bạn) since many swimming lessons are done in groups.

Can you swim?
Yes, I can! Although I’m not a professional swimmer, I’ve mastered the basics, such as freestyle and backstroke. I make it a habit to swim at least once a week to stay active and maintain my stamina (sức bền). Recently, I even challenged myself to swim 20 laps in a single session, and it felt like a significant achievement. It's safe to say I’m pretty confident in the water.

How did you learn to swim?
I learned to swim at a young age when my parents enrolled me in a swimming class at a local sports center. The instructor was very patient (kiên nhẫn) and taught me step by step, starting with basic breathing techniques. I vividly remember using floaties (phao bơi) during my first few lessons, which gave me the confidence to practice in deeper water. Over time, I managed to overcome my fear and swim comfortably.>> Form đăng kí giải đề thi thật IELTS 4 kĩ năng kèm bài giải bộ đề 100 đề PART 2 IELTS SPEAKING quý đang thi (update hàng tuần) từ IELTS TUTOR

What is the difference between swimming in the pool and swimming in the sea?
Swimming in the pool is much more controlled (được kiểm soát), as the water is calm and typically warm, making it ideal for learning and practicing techniques. On the other hand, swimming in the sea can be thrilling but unpredictable (khó lường), due to waves and currents that demand extra caution. For instance, I find sea swimming exhilarating because it feels like an adventure, but I always stay mindful of potential dangers. It’s truly a mixed bag (một trải nghiệm đa dạng).

Are there many places to swim near you?
Yes, there are several options in my area, ranging from indoor swimming pools to natural lakes. The most popular one is the newly opened community pool, which is equipped with modern facilities like diving boards (ván nhảy) and heated water. Moreover, there’s a nearby river where locals often go for a dip during the summer. Having such places nearby makes it super convenient to enjoy swimming whenever I want.
