IELTS TUTOR gợi ý bài tham khảo:

Today, I would like to tell you about a room that I truly adore in my friend's home. This room belongs to my friend Mr. IELTS Tutor, and although it is relatively compact (nhỏ gọn), it is incredibly modern (hiện đại) and smartly designed (được thiết kế thông minh).

First of all, this room is located on the second floor of his house, in a quiet and cozy corner, which gives it a sense of privacy (riêng tư). The walls are painted in a soothing light gray, and there are plenty of sleek (bóng bẩy) built-in shelves that make the most of the limited space. The furniture is minimalist yet functional, featuring a multi-purpose desk that doubles as a study table and a workstation. To top it off (nói thêm nữa), there’s a state-of-the-art (hiện đại nhất) air conditioner that keeps the room comfortable even during the hottest days.>> Form đăng kí giải đề thi thật IELTS 4 kĩ năng kèm bài giải bộ đề 100 đề PART 2 IELTS SPEAKING quý đang thi (update hàng tuần) từ IELTS TUTOR

What I love most about this room is how versatile (đa năng) it is. I can do a variety of activities there, such as studying, working on my laptop, or even just chilling out (thư giãn). The room also has a compact but ingenious (thông minh) foldable bed that can be tucked away to create more space during the day. It's like killing two birds with one stone (một công đôi việc), which I find truly impressive.

I particularly admire this room because it reflects my friend's personality—he is someone who values practicality and aesthetics. Despite its size, this room feels open and uncluttered, which creates a very relaxing atmosphere. It’s a perfect blend of functionality (tính tiện dụng) and style, making it a place where I always feel comfortable and inspired.

In short, Mr. IELTS Tutor’s room is a gem (viên ngọc quý)—a small yet smartly designed space that proves you don’t need a lot of room to live well.

IV. Part 3

1. Do you like to invite your friends to your home?

Yes, I love inviting my friends to my home because it fosters a sense of intimacy and closeness. Hosting (tổ chức tiếp đón) friends in a comfortable space allows for deeper conversations and more memorable moments. For instance, we often have game nights or cook meals together, which helps strengthen our bond. Another reason is that inviting friends over is more convenient and cost-effective than meeting elsewhere. For example, we don’t need to worry about paying for food or parking fees, which can be stressful. Additionally, hosting friends enables me to showcase my hospitality and share a part of my personal life with them. For instance, I recently renovated my living room, and my friends appreciated the cozy atmosphere. Inviting friends over also gives me a chance to kill two birds with one stone by socializing and staying at home. This way, I can save energy while enjoying meaningful interactions.

  • Vocabulary:
    • Hosting: tổ chức, tiếp đón.
    • Kill two birds with one stone: một công đôi việc.

2. Why do people often take gifts with them when they visit others’ homes?

People bring gifts as a gesture (cử chỉ) of appreciation for the host’s effort and hospitality. It reflects their gratitude for being invited and shows respect for the host. For example, in my culture, it’s common to bring fruits or sweets to share with everyone during the visit. Another reason is that giving gifts creates a positive first impression, especially if you’re meeting someone for the first time. For instance, a small but thoughtful gift like a bouquet of flowers or a box of chocolates can make the host feel valued. Additionally, gift-giving is often considered a social norm (chuẩn mực xã hội) and helps foster harmonious relationships. For example, I always bring something unique when visiting friends in another city, like a locally made souvenir. Bringing gifts also helps break the ice, especially in formal or unfamiliar settings, making everyone feel at ease. It’s a way to show thoughtfulness and contribute to the atmosphere of the visit.

3. Who likes to stay at home more, young people or old people?

Generally, older people are more inclined to stay at home because they prioritize comfort and peace over outdoor activities. For example, many elderly individuals enjoy reading, gardening, or watching TV, which are all home-based pastimes. Furthermore, staying at home allows them to maintain their routines and enjoy a sense of familiarity (cảm giác quen thuộc). On the other hand, young people tend to prefer going out as they crave new experiences and social interactions. For instance, they enjoy activities like attending concerts, going to the gym, or hanging out with friends in cafes. Another reason young people are more likely to go out is their need to let their hair down after a stressful week of studying or working. For example, my younger cousin always plans outdoor adventures on weekends to recharge. While older people may value tranquility, younger individuals thrive in environments full of excitement and novelty.

  • Vocabulary:
    • Sense of familiarity: cảm giác quen thuộc.
    • Let their hair down: thư giãn, xả hơi.

4. Do you think old people will be able to keep up with the pace of technology in 50 years?

It depends on how accessible and user-friendly technology becomes. Some older people are already adapting well to technology, as they use smartphones and social media to stay connected. For example, my grandmother often video calls us through her tablet, which keeps her updated with family news. However, as technology advances at a breakneck pace (tốc độ chóng mặt), the learning curve might become too steep for many elderly individuals. For instance, they might struggle with complex AI-driven tools or virtual reality systems. Another factor is whether governments or organizations provide adequate support for elderly people to learn new technologies. For example, free technology workshops or online tutorials can help bridge the gap. It’s also important to design intuitive (dễ hiểu, dễ sử dụng) devices tailored to their needs. For example, voice-activated gadgets with simplified functions could be a game-changer for the older generation. With proper assistance, many elderly people will likely keep up.

  • Vocabulary:
    • Breakneck pace: tốc độ chóng mặt.
    • Intuitive: dễ sử dụng.
