  • When was the day
    • Off the top of my head, there was a time when four of my closest friends and I went out for dinner on my birthday, but I didn’t spend as much money as I had expected.
  • Where you went
    • We made up our mind to go for a newly opened restaurant within a stone’s throw from my house.
  • How much you spent
    • After having relished the meal, I asked for the bill, and the sum really gave me a surprise. It was just 15 dollars, too cheap for a 7-course meal, but anyway I settled the bill without even asking the waitress why it was so cheap. >> IELTS TUTOR hướng dẫn Cách dùng từ "without" tiếng anh
  • And explain how you feel about the day
    • At first, I was excited to see that  there were special offers and discounts for us to claim, and it really hit the spot as most of us were running short of cash for the time being.
    • Then, Without much hesitation, we entered and started ordering food. I was trying to be less stingy and asked my friends to order as much as they could because I would be the person to foot the bill on my birthday.
    • Finally, we ordered a total of 7 dishes, ranging from beef and pork to seafood and beer. We had a whale of a time without having to shell out too much cash on the dinner.

Today I'd like to share a memorable experience that happened on my birthday not too long ago. It was one of those spontaneous outings with my closest friends that turned out to be unexpectedly delightful.

So, it was my birthday, and to celebrate the occasion, I decided to treat myself and my friends to a nice dinner. We didn't plan anything elaborate, just a casual get-together over some good food. Without much thought, we settled on trying out a newly opened restaurant conveniently located near my place.>> IELTS TUTOR có hướng dẫn kĩ SỬA BÀI IELTS WRITING TASK 2 ĐỀ THI THẬT NGÀY 22/8/2020 của HS IELTS TUTOR đạt 6.5 Writing

Once we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised to find that the restaurant had some special offers and discounts available. It was like fate was smiling down on us, especially since most of us were on a tight budget at the time. With excitement bubbling, we eagerly entered and began perusing the menu.

I made it clear to my friends that this was my treat, so they shouldn't hold back on ordering whatever they fancied. We ended up selecting a variety of dishes, ranging from juicy beef and succulent pork to fresh seafood, accompanied by some refreshing beers. The atmosphere was lively, filled with laughter and chatter as we savored each dish.

When it came time to settle the bill, I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the total amount. It was a mere $15 for a feast comprising seven courses! It seemed too good to be true, but without hesitation, I paid the bill, not wanting to question our stroke of luck.

Reflecting on the day, I felt a mixture of excitement and gratitude. It wasn't just about the delicious food or the affordable price; it was the joy of spending quality time with my friends, creating lasting memories on a day meant for celebration. It was a birthday dinner that surpassed my expectations in every way possible.

IV. Part 3

1. Do you think that only older individuals have time to relax?
In my opinion, rest isn't exclusively reserved for the elderly. While it's true that they may have more leisure time due to retirement, younger people also find time to unwind amidst their busy schedules. For instance, students and professionals may engage in hobbies like reading or exercising, even if they have a packed routine. Additionally, with the rise of remote working, many young adults have greater flexibility to enjoy breaks throughout the day. Although older people may prioritize rest more often, the younger generation also manages to incorporate relaxation into their lives, often using it as a means of recharging. Recharging in this context means taking time to rest and regain energy for future tasks. A prime example is when people take weekend getaways to escape from their daily demands. Ultimately, both groups cherish rest, but in different ways.>> Form đăng kí giải đề thi thật IELTS 4 kĩ năng kèm bài giải bộ đề 100 đề PART 2 IELTS SPEAKING quý đang thi (update hàng tuần) từ IELTS TUTOR

2. What types of leisure activities do both elderly and young people enjoy?
In terms of leisure activities, older individuals often favor quieter pursuits like gardening or knitting, activities that allow them to relax and reflect. Gardening, for example, provides a calm environment, and the act of nurturing plants can be incredibly satisfying. On the other hand, younger people tend to gravitate towards more active and social activities such as traveling or attending events with friends. Traveling, for instance, can offer a chance to explore new cultures and rejuvenate the mind. Both groups appreciate leisure time, though their interests may differ due to varying lifestyles and preferences. Young people might choose something that gets their adrenaline pumping, while older individuals prefer activities that allow them to relax without too much exertion. In both cases, the goal is the same—relaxing and enjoying life, albeit in different ways.

3. How do people in your country typically spend their leisure time?
In Vietnam, many people spend their leisure time enjoying family gatherings, where they engage in activities like cooking together or going out for dinner. Family bonding is highly valued, and people often use their free time to reconnect with relatives and share quality moments. Others might choose to spend their time outdoors, hiking or visiting local parks to appreciate nature. Hiking refers to walking for long distances in nature, typically on trails or mountains. Vietnamese cities also offer various cultural experiences, such as visiting museums or attending local festivals, which are great ways to unwind while exploring history and art. Additionally, with modern technology, many people indulge in online entertainment, like watching movies or playing games, which has become a common way to spend leisure time. The diverse activities reflect the desire for balance between relaxation and enjoyment in Vietnamese culture.
