Today, I would like to tell you about an experience that significantly boosted my confidence in my studies. It was a project I undertook during my first semester at university, where I had to deliver a presentation on a complex topic in business management.
This happened around six months ago in one of my core courses, Introduction to Business Administration. Our professor assigned each student a topic to research and present to the class. My topic was "Effective Leadership in Business," which I found both challenging and intriguing. The presentation was scheduled in our university's main seminar room, which added a formal element to the task.
To prepare, I worked extremely hard. I spent countless hours researching leadership theories, analyzing case studies, and organizing my ideas into a coherent structure. I also practiced my delivery repeatedly, ensuring that my speech was engaging and polished.>> Form đăng kí giải đề thi thật IELTS 4 kĩ năng kèm bài giải bộ đề 100 đề PART 2 IELTS SPEAKING quý đang thi (update hàng tuần) từ IELTS TUTOR
I have mixed feelings about it for two main reasons.
The first reason is that the experience was both nerve-wracking and exciting. When the day of my presentation finally arrived, I felt an overwhelming mix of emotions. On one hand, I was nervous about speaking in front of a large group of classmates and professors. On the other hand, I was excited to showcase the results of my hard work.
The second reason is that the experience left me feeling both accomplished and reflective. By the end of the session, I received not only a high grade but also praise from my professor for explaining complex ideas clearly. This made me feel incredibly proud of my efforts. However, it also taught me an important lesson: success is closely tied to persistence and preparation.
