IELTS TUTOR gợi ý bài tham khảo:

Today, I would like to tell you about a time when my TV, a 55-inch model that I bought in October last year, broke down unexpectedly. It was quite an ordeal, but I managed to get it fixed, and in hindsight, it was a memorable experience.

To begin with, the TV malfunctioned (English: stopped working properly; Vietnamese: trục trặc, hư hỏng) while I was watching my favorite show. The screen started flickering (English: flashing on and off repeatedly; Vietnamese: chớp nháy) and eventually turned off by itself. At first, I thought it might be a problem with the cables, so I checked (English: inspected carefully; Vietnamese: kiểm tra) all the connections, but everything seemed secure. That’s when I realized that something inside the device must have been faulty (English: not working correctly; Vietnamese: bị lỗi).

Determined to resolve the issue, I quickly looked up (English: searched for information; Vietnamese: tìm kiếm) the company’s website and contacted their after-sales department (English: the service provided by the company after purchasing a product; Vietnamese: bộ phận hậu mãi). The next day, a technician arrived at my house. He identified the issue as a defective chipset (English: a damaged part of the device; Vietnamese: bộ vi mạch bị lỗi) and replaced it within a matter of minutes. It was impressive how efficiently he worked, and soon, my TV was up and running (English: functioning properly again; Vietnamese: hoạt động trở lại).>> Form đăng kí giải đề thi thật IELTS 4 kĩ năng kèm bài giải bộ đề 100 đề PART 2 IELTS SPEAKING quý đang thi (update hàng tuần) từ IELTS TUTOR

Initially, I was furious (English: extremely angry; Vietnamese: rất giận dữ) and felt as though I had been cheated (English: deceived; Vietnamese: bị lừa) by the manufacturer. I didn’t expect such a high-priced product to encounter problems within just a year. But the technician reassured me, explaining that it was a common electric malfunction (English: an electrical issue causing the device to stop working; Vietnamese: sự cố điện) that could happen to any electronic device.

Thankfully, the TV was still under warranty, and the company covered all the repair costs. That was a huge relief (English: a feeling of comfort after a stressful situation; Vietnamese: cảm giác nhẹ nhõm). As they say, “Every cloud has a silver lining” (English: There is something good in every bad situation; Vietnamese: trong cái rủi có cái may), and this incident taught me the importance of warranties and good customer service.

In conclusion, while it was a stressful situation at first, the efficient repair process and the fact that it didn’t cost me a penny made the experience worthwhile.

IV. Part 3

How can parents help children to be organized?

Parents can play a crucial role in helping their children become more organized by teaching them the importance of time management (quản lý thời gian) from a young age. By establishing routines, such as setting aside time for homework, chores, and play, children can learn to manage their time more effectively. For instance, a family might create a shared calendar to keep track of activities and deadlines, which helps children understand how to plan ahead. This not only teaches responsibility but also helps them develop self-discipline.

In addition, parents can encourage their children to prioritize tasks (ưu tiên công việc) by helping them identify what needs to be done first. For example, if a child has a school project and a birthday party to attend, parents can guide them to focus on completing the project before the fun event. This instills the idea of balancing responsibilities (cân bằng các trách nhiệm) and fun in life. As children practice these strategies, they naturally become more organized individuals.

What factors should people consider when organizing events?

When organizing events, the first thing to consider is the budget (ngân sách). It's essential to plan everything within financial means, so people can allocate funds wisely for things like venue, food, and entertainment. For instance, a wedding organizer may have to choose a venue that fits both the number of guests and the allocated budget. Without a solid budget plan, even the most well-intentioned event can fall apart (gặp vấn đề) due to unforeseen costs.

Another important factor is the guest list (danh sách khách mời). Knowing who will attend the event helps organizers figure out how much food, seating, and other resources are needed. For example, if an event is supposed to be an intimate gathering with close friends, the atmosphere will be different from a large corporate event where a more formal setup is required. Properly managing the guest list ensures that the event runs smoothly and that everyone has a great time.

Vocabulary explanations:

  • Time management: The ability to plan and use time effectively. Quản lý thời gian.
  • Prioritize tasks: Deciding what tasks are the most important and should be done first. Ưu tiên công việc.
  • Balancing responsibilities: Managing different duties or tasks in a way that neither overwhelms you nor leaves you bored. Cân bằng các trách nhiệm.
  • Budget: The amount of money available to spend on something. Ngân sách.
  • Fall apart: To break down or fail. Gặp vấn đề.
  • Guest list: A list of people invited to an event. Danh sách khách mời.

How can parents help children to be organized?

Another important way parents can help children become organized is by setting goals (đặt mục tiêu) for them to work towards. These goals could be related to their schoolwork, hobbies, or chores at home. By breaking down big tasks into smaller, more achievable goals, children can feel a sense of accomplishment as they tick off items on their to-do lists. For example, parents can encourage their children to set a target for reading a certain number of pages each day, which will gradually improve their focus and ability to manage time.>> IELTS TUTOR hướng dẫn PHÂN TÍCH ĐỀ THI 30/5/2020 IELTS WRITING TASK 2 (kèm bài sửa HS đạt 6.5)

Furthermore, parents should lead by example (làm gương) and show how to be organized themselves. Children tend to mimic their parents’ behaviors, so when they see their parents planning ahead, keeping their space tidy, and managing time well, they are more likely to adopt these habits themselves. For instance, if parents maintain a tidy home and have set schedules for their work and personal lives, children will naturally learn to respect organization in their own routines.

What factors should people consider when organizing events?

One of the most crucial factors to consider when organizing events is logistics (hậu cần), which refers to the organization of resources and services needed for the event. This includes things like transportation, catering, and equipment. For example, if you're organizing a conference, you need to ensure that all speakers have the necessary technology for presentations and that attendees know how to get to the venue. Without proper logistics, even the best-planned event could hit a snag (gặp sự cố) and fail to meet expectations.

Another important aspect is the atmosphere (không khí) you wish to create. The vibe of an event plays a significant role in how guests will enjoy it, whether it’s a fun and lively celebration or a more formal corporate gathering. For instance, a birthday party might need bright decorations and upbeat music, while a business conference may require a more professional setting with calm colors and background music. Creating the right atmosphere ensures that the guests feel comfortable and the event is memorable.

Vocabulary explanations:

  • Setting goals: Creating targets or objectives to work towards. Đặt mục tiêu.
  • Example: A person’s behavior that others can imitate. Làm gương.
  • Logistics: The organization of resources and services for an event or task. Hậu cần.
  • Hit a snag: To encounter a problem or obstacle. Gặp sự cố.
  • Atmosphere: The mood or feeling of a place or event. Không khí.
