IELTS TUTOR gợi ý bài tham khảo:
Today, I would like to tell you about a time when I was asked to help someone, and it turned out to be an incredibly fulfilling (adj - đáng giá, mang lại niềm vui và sự thỏa mãn - bringing a deep sense of satisfaction and happiness) experience.
A close friend of mine approached me one day, looking visibly distressed (adj - lo lắng, buồn rầu - feeling extremely worried or upset). His son was about to sit for a highly competitive (adj - có tính cạnh tranh cao - requiring a high level of ability to succeed) entrance exam, but he was struggling with English. My friend had been unaware of this issue until just a month before the test, which naturally made him panic. He attempted to enroll his son in private tuition (compound noun - lớp học kèm riêng - one-on-one extra lessons), but unfortunately, all his efforts were to no avail (idiom - không có kết quả, vô ích - unsuccessful or in vain).>> Form đăng kí giải đề thi thật IELTS 4 kĩ năng kèm bài giải bộ đề 100 đề PART 2 IELTS SPEAKING quý đang thi (update hàng tuần) từ IELTS TUTOR
Although I had a jam-packed schedule (compound adj - lịch trình dày đặc - extremely busy with little free time), I couldn’t ignore his plea for help because, as the saying goes, "A friend in need is a friend indeed." So, I set aside (phrasal verb - dành riêng - to allocate time or resources for a particular purpose) some time each evening to tutor his son. My approach was not only to reinforce (v - củng cố, làm vững chắc - to strengthen or support an idea or skill) his understanding of grammar fundamentals (n - những nguyên tắc cơ bản - basic principles or rules) but also to immerse (v - đắm chìm - to deeply involve someone in an activity or subject) him in English through engaging (adj - hấp dẫn, thú vị - interesting and enjoyable) books and practice tests.
As the exam day drew closer, I could see a remarkable transformation (n - sự thay đổi lớn - a complete change in appearance or character) in his confidence and language skills. When he finally aced (v - đạt điểm cao - to perform extremely well in an exam) the test with flying colors (idiom - xuất sắc, đạt kết quả tốt - with outstanding success), I felt an overwhelming sense of gratification (n - sự hài lòng, mãn nguyện - deep satisfaction from achieving something meaningful). His father was beyond grateful and thanked me wholeheartedly (adv - chân thành, hết lòng - with complete sincerity and enthusiasm).
This experience cemented (v - củng cố, làm chắc chắn - to make a relationship, idea, or position stronger) my belief that small acts of kindness can make a profound (adj - sâu sắc, to lớn - having a great impact or depth) difference in someone’s life.

IV. Part 3
1️⃣ How do children often help their parents at home?
Children usually assist their parents with mundane (tầm thường, lặp đi lặp lại – ordinary and repetitive) household tasks such as washing dishes or sweeping the floor. These seemingly trivial chores (những công việc tưởng chừng nhỏ nhặt – tasks that appear unimportant) not only keep the house tidy but also instill (hình thành, thấm nhuần – to gradually introduce an idea into someone’s mind) a sense of responsibility in children. For instance, setting the table daily teaches them discipline and organization.
Apart from that, older children often take on more labor-intensive (đòi hỏi nhiều sức lao động – requiring more physical effort) duties like cooking or grocery shopping. This allows them to develop essential life skills and become more independent. Take cooking, for example—it helps them learn about nutritious meal preparation (chuẩn bị bữa ăn lành mạnh – making healthy food) and time management, which will be beneficial when they live on their own in the future.
New Vocabulary
- mundane – (adj) tầm thường, lặp đi lặp lại (ordinary and repetitive)
- seemingly trivial chores – (n) những công việc tưởng chừng nhỏ nhặt (tasks that appear unimportant)
- instill – (v) hình thành, thấm nhuần (to gradually introduce an idea into someone’s mind)
- more labor-intensive – (adj) đòi hỏi nhiều sức lao động (requiring more physical effort)
- nutritious meal preparation – (n) chuẩn bị bữa ăn lành mạnh (making healthy food)
Synonyms & Antonyms
- Synonyms of “mundane”: ordinary, routine, repetitive
- Antonyms of “mundane”: exciting, unusual, unique
- IELTS TUTOR xét ví dụ: “Children usually assist their parents with mundane household tasks such as washing dishes or sweeping the floor.”

- (Những công việc tưởng chừng nhỏ nhặt này không chỉ giúp giữ nhà cửa gọn gàng mà còn hình thành ý thức trách nhiệm ở trẻ em.)
“Take cooking, for example—it helps them learn about nutritious meal preparation and time management.”
- Cấu trúc "Take … for example" dùng để đưa ra ví dụ cụ thể
- (Lấy nấu ăn làm ví dụ – nó giúp trẻ học về cách chuẩn bị bữa ăn lành mạnh và quản lý thời gian.)
2️⃣ What are the benefits of helping others?
Helping others fosters (thúc đẩy – encourages the development of) empathy and social bonds, which are crucial for a harmonious community (cộng đồng hòa thuận – a peaceful and cooperative society). When people lend a hand, they cultivate (trau dồi, phát triển – to improve or develop something) kindness and become more considerate. A prime example is volunteering at shelters, where individuals not only support the less fortunate but also experience a sense of fulfillment (cảm giác hài lòng – a feeling of deep satisfaction).
Moreover, assisting others can be mutually beneficial (đôi bên cùng có lợi – advantageous for both sides), as it strengthens personal connections and builds trust. For instance, helping a colleague with a work-related problem may result in reciprocal support in the future. This cycle of generosity creates a supportive environment (môi trường hỗ trợ – a setting where people help one another), making life more manageable for everyone.
New Vocabulary
- foster – (v) thúc đẩy (encourage the development of)
- harmonious community – (n) cộng đồng hòa thuận (a peaceful and cooperative society)
- cultivate – (v) trau dồi, phát triển (to improve or develop something)
- sense of fulfillment – (n) cảm giác hài lòng (a feeling of deep satisfaction)
- mutually beneficial – (adj) đôi bên cùng có lợi (advantageous for both sides)

Synonyms & Antonyms
- Synonyms of “foster”: encourage, promote, nurture
- Antonyms of “foster”: hinder, discourage, suppress

“This cycle of generosity creates a supportive environment, making life more manageable for everyone.”
3️⃣ Should children be rewarded when doing household chores?
Rewarding children for doing chores can reinforce positive behavior (củng cố hành vi tích cực – strengthen good habits), making them more likely to complete their tasks diligently. By receiving small incentives, such as extra screen time or a favorite snack, children understand the correlation (mối liên hệ – a connection between two things) between effort and reward. For instance, when a child is given a weekly allowance for tidying their room, they develop a stronger work ethic and a sense of responsibility.
On the other hand, excessive rewards may lead to entitlement (quyền lợi được cho là đương nhiên – the belief that one deserves privileges without effort), making children reluctant to help unless compensated. If parents consistently give money for basic household duties, children may expect payment for every small task, which undermines intrinsic motivation (làm suy yếu động lực nội tại – weakens one’s natural drive to do something). Take washing dishes, for example—if a child refuses to do it without a reward, they miss out on the opportunity to learn discipline and self-sufficiency.
New Vocabulary
- reinforce positive behavior – (v) củng cố hành vi tích cực (strengthen good habits)
- correlation – (n) mối liên hệ (a connection between two things)
- entitlement – (n) quyền lợi được cho là đương nhiên (the belief that one deserves privileges without effort)
- undermine intrinsic motivation – (v) làm suy yếu động lực nội tại (weakens one’s natural drive to do something)
Synonyms & Antonyms
- Synonyms of “reinforce”: strengthen, enhance, support
- Antonyms of “reinforce”: weaken, diminish, discourage
- IELTS TUTOR xét ví dụ: “Rewarding children for doing chores can reinforce positive behavior, making them more likely to complete their tasks diligently.”
Difficult Grammar Structures & Translation
“By receiving small incentives, such as extra screen time or a favorite snack, children understand the correlation between effort and reward.”
“If parents consistently give money for basic household duties, children may expect payment for every small task, which undermines intrinsic motivation.”
4️⃣ How do neighbors help each other? Why?
Neighbors often provide mutual support (sự hỗ trợ lẫn nhau – assistance given by both sides), especially in times of crisis. Whether it's lending household items, sharing meals, or assisting with childcare, such gestures help build a close-knit community (cộng đồng gắn kết – a group of people with strong relationships). A classic example is neighbors looking after each other's pets while one family is on vacation, fostering trust and goodwill.
Additionally, neighbors can offer practical assistance (hỗ trợ thiết thực – help that is useful in daily life), such as helping with home repairs or giving advice on local services. This type of reciprocal help (sự giúp đỡ qua lại – aid that benefits both parties) not only makes life easier but also strengthens social bonds. For instance, elderly residents may receive help carrying groceries, while younger families gain wisdom from their experiences, creating a mutually enriching environment (môi trường đôi bên cùng có lợi – a setting where people benefit from one another).
New Vocabulary
- mutual support – (n) sự hỗ trợ lẫn nhau (assistance given by both sides)
- close-knit community – (n) cộng đồng gắn kết (a group of people with strong relationships)
- practical assistance – (n) hỗ trợ thiết thực (help that is useful in daily life)

- mutually enriching environment – (n) môi trường đôi bên cùng có lợi (a setting where people benefit from one another)
Synonyms & Antonyms
- Synonyms of “mutual”: shared, reciprocal, common
- Antonyms of “mutual”: one-sided, selfish, independent
- IELTS TUTOR xét ví dụ: “Neighbors often provide mutual support, especially in times of crisis.”
Difficult Grammar Structures & Translation

- Cấu trúc "Whether … or …"
“For instance, elderly residents may receive help carrying groceries, while younger families gain wisdom from their experiences, creating a mutually enriching environment.”
- Mệnh đề "while" diễn tả hai hành động diễn ra song song
