It was the first place in our country to educate Vietnam’s bureaucrats, nobles, royalty, and other members of the elite. Walking through its grounds, I learned about the early educational system of Vietnam and the reverence the society had for knowledge and learning. The stelae of Doctors, which are stone tablets mounted on the backs of tortoises, were particularly fascinating as they list the names of graduates from the royal examinations.

Overall, visiting the Temple of Literature made me feel a deep sense of pride in my heritage. It was awe-inspiring to be in a place that has played such a crucial role in the intellectual and cultural development of Vietnam.
