  • You should say: 
    • How old you were 
    • Where you were living at the time 
    • What you were doing during this stage 
    • And explain why you think this was an important stage in your life

• How old you were 
  • One of the most important times in my life was when I was sixteen.
• Where you were living at the time

• What you were doing during this stage 
  • We would often go to each other’s house for sleepovers (IELTS TUTOR giải thích: bữa tiệc qua đêm) and would stay up late at night chatting about everything two teenagers could ever chat about.
  • We were best friend until one day when we had a terrible misunderstanding when she thought I had told someone a secret that she had told me, and she decided not to be my friend anymore 
• And explain why you think this was an important stage in your life

    • Supporting idea: 
      • My friend made a new best friend and would strut around (IELTS TUTOR giải thích: đi nghênh ngang) with her trying to make me jealous.
      • She would gossip (IELTS TUTOR giải thích: bàn tán, tám chuyện) with all the other kids about me.

  • Main idea 2: I also realized that bad things happen in life, and we cannot hide from them (IELTS TUTOR giải thích: trốn khỏi), so we should not dig ourselves into a hole (IELTS TUTOR giải thích: tự gây khó cho mình) 
    • Supporting idea: 
      • I eventually found a new best friend, and we’re still friends today.
      • I have a more open personality, and I believe that this situation made me a stronger person.
      • I can handle rejection now whenever it comes from and just keep rolling (IELTS TUTOR giải thích: tiếp tục bước đi) with a smile on my face.

  • Though that time was hard to us all, as we had been under a lot of pressure to be able to be admitted by high-ranked high school, the friend among us helped all of us relieve stress, lift up our spirits and recharge our energy to make concerted efforts to get into our desired schools.
  • Now, when we’re all grown-up and have to live a hectic life to make end meets, we still try to cement our relationship. Sometimes, we have a whale of a time in our reunions when we’re taking a trip down memory lanes about those good old days, when we were carefree and so close to each others.
