Today, I would like to tell you about a memorable visit to a place where I could see wild animals in their natural habitats. The place I’m referring to is Sydney Zoo, a well-known wildlife park located in Sydney, Australia. I had the opportunity to visit this amazing destination last summer during my trip to Australia.

When I stepped into the zoo, I was immediately engrossed (bị cuốn hút) by the vibrant environment. The layout was meticulously (một cách cẩn thận, tỉ mỉ) designed to replicate the natural habitats of the animals. I vividly remember seeing a koala, one of the most iconic animals of Australia, peacefully dozing off (phrasal verb: ngủ gật, ngủ thiếp đi) in the eucalyptus trees. It was fascinating to watch these gentle creatures, and their relaxed demeanor truly embodied the laid-back lifestyle (idiom: phong cách sống thư thái, thoải mái) Australia is famous for.

Another highlight of the visit was encountering kangaroos. These agile (nhanh nhẹn, linh hoạt) animals were hopping around, and some were even interacting with visitors. I was absolutely over the moon (idiom: rất vui mừng, hạnh phúc) to get close to them and observe their unique behaviors.>> Form đăng kí giải đề thi thật IELTS 4 kĩ năng kèm bài giải bộ đề 100 đề PART 2 IELTS SPEAKING quý đang thi (update hàng tuần) từ IELTS TUTOR

What truly impressed me about Sydney Zoo was its emphasis on animal welfare and conservation. It was clear that the staff were wholeheartedly (hết lòng, toàn tâm toàn ý) dedicated to creating a sustainable environment for these animals.

This visit left me feeling both inspired and reflective. Seeing these incredible animals in such a well-maintained space reminded me of how important it is to protect wildlife and preserve biodiversity. Sydney Zoo was not just an enjoyable experience but also an eye-opener (idiom: một điều gì đó làm ta tỉnh ngộ, mở mang tầm mắt) that deepened my appreciation for nature.

IV. Part 3

1. Why are most children interested in wild animals?

Main Idea 1: Most children find wild animals captivating because they are unlike the pets they see at home.

  • Wild animals are more exotic and often display unique behaviors that intrigue children.
  • For instance, a child might be amazed to watch a tiger stalking its prey or a bird building its nest.

Main Idea 2: Children's interest in wild animals also stems from their exposure to media like cartoons or documentaries.

  • Many animated films and TV shows feature wild animals as characters, which sparks their imagination.
  • For example, popular movies like The Lion King introduce children to the lives of lions and other savanna creatures.
  • Encouraging this curiosity can help children develop a better understanding of the animal kingdom.
  • After all, as the saying goes, “Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back.”

New Vocab:

  • Captivating (adj): thú vị, lôi cuốn
  • Sparks (v): khơi gợi

2. Should parents take their children to see wild animals?

Main Idea 1: Visiting wild animals can help children develop a profound respect for nature.

Main Idea 2: These visits also provide valuable hands-on learning opportunities for kids.

  • Children can observe animal behaviors and learn how ecosystems function.
  • For example, during a guided tour, children might witness a bird feeding its young, which they wouldn't experience in books.
  • Taking these trips also helps families bond over shared experiences.
  • "Actions speak louder than words," so witnessing animals firsthand can be more impactful than lectures.

New Vocab:

  • Profound (adj): sâu sắc
  • Hands-on (adj): thực hành

3. Are wild animals easy to spot?

Main Idea 1: Wild animals are often elusive, making them difficult to spot in their natural habitats.

  • Many animals blend into their surroundings as a survival mechanism to avoid predators.
  • For example, tigers have stripes that help them camouflage in dense forests.

Main Idea 2: However, guided tours or safaris can make spotting animals easier.

  • These tours are often led by experts who know where and when to look for specific animals.
  • For instance, a guide might know the watering holes where lions come to drink.
  • Guided tours are like a "shortcut to success" when it comes to spotting wildlife.
  • Without these tours, people might wander aimlessly and miss seeing rare animals.

New Vocab:

  • Elusive (adj): khó bắt gặp
  • Camouflage (v): ngụy trang
